Smart Mom Jewelry Review and Giveaway

Did you read my review a few weeks ago about a nursing necklace? Well, I got to try another brand of nursing necklace! This time it was from Smart Mom Jewelry.

Here's a little bit of info about Smart Mom:

Both stay-at-home Moms, we first met when our daughters were about a year old and taking a class together. We thought we might make a good business team someday; Kendra had the ideas, Amy the marketing experience. We were also interested in creating a company that would provide meaningful work opportunities for other Moms while also making charitable giving a top priority.

We both suffered personal tragedies that further brought us together. One of Kendra’s children was born with cancer and Amy lost her sister-in-law to an undiagnosed heart defect. These life-changing events gave us the courage to finally start our company.

Despite never having done something like this before, we believed that our unique idea for ‘teethable’ jewelry combined with a strong commitment to safety, customer service and giving back to our communities would help us succeed.

A lot of companies say they’re ‘family friendly.’ We are actually walking the walk. We give our team members their assignments and let them go, allowing them to work around their family schedules. We welcome children in our offices (you may hear crying babies in the background here, too!) We are always looking for ways to help other Moms and are happy to donate to worthy causes. For us, family always comes first.

Smart Mom Jewelry sent me 2 of their Teething Bling necklaces. At first glance, you think that these necklaces are made from stone. In fact, I thought it was stone until I touched it. It actually has a rubber feel to it. The pendant is made from a silicone that is phthalate and lead free, non-toxic, dishwasher-safe and federally approved!

I love these necklaces! Not only are they great for Maggie to play with while she's nursing, but it also makes a great teether for her too! So many times when mommy is working on here, I just take my necklace off and give it to her to play with. She loves them! I also love the way they look and am proud to wear them out. In fact, we went to a family picnic today and I wore one!

There is only one negative thing I can say about the necklaces. Because of the rubber-like nature of them, then tend to attract hair and fuzzies. It is not too extreme, but I do usually try to look my necklace over before giving it to Maggie to stick in her mouth.
