Every little girl loves dolls. I have never met one who didn't! I've known many grown women who still collect dolls! Recently I discovered an great lady from London, England who makes her own dolls. If you can dream it up, she can make it! Would you like a doll made to look like you or your daughter? Are you looking for a special, unique Christmas gift? Check out Diamond Hill Dolls!
I'd like to take a moment to introduce you to Clare, Diamond Hill Dolls creator:
" Hi, I'm Clare Coyne of Diamond Hill Dolls. For most of my life I have been a multi-media crafts person with a background in jewellery, mosaics, costume and now a cloth doll artist, specializing in one-of-a-kind handmade cloth dolls.I design and make these dolls in my studio at the South Bank London. My Mother Brenda, a lifelong knitter knits the sweaters for my dolls.
When I'm not making dolls, I am on the hunt for materials I can use, I am fortunate to live in London with all the antique markets, craft exhibitions, vintage shops and art supply shops on my doorstep. I like to relax by kayaking on the Thames.
Inspired by the uniqueness of every face and character I come across, the need to create something beautiful to be treasured and passed on and a passionate love of textiles have all bought me to the path of doll making. Based between Central London and Cleggan Ireland, home to my Mother and my favourite inspirational walk up Diamond Hill mountain.
Here at Diamond Hill Dolls I make high-quality, one-of-a-kind, cloth dolls. Every single doll is unique, lovingly handcrafted from designer and vintage fabrics. Most of my dolls have cloth faces with embroidered detail. But recently, I have been making dolls with clay faces which are hand sculpted and painted. Every doll has her very own outfit, complete to the under garments. My range of dolls include vintage, modern, multi-racial, character and good old fashioned rag dolls.
I love to make personalised dolls to customer requests. I have made look-a-like dolls from photographs, fantasy dolls from childrens drawings and even dolls to resemble loved pets! I have also made dolls inc orporating a customer's old wedding dress!
I aspire to make treasured items - dolls that are loved as much as I love making them. Clare Coyne."

Although her main business is her doll making, Clare also enjoys other crafts. Another creation Clare makes are felt chickens. She has decided to give one of my fans 6 free range felt chickens! These would be so cute in my house sitting on the hutch or maybe in a cute little basket!
The chickens are made from scraps of left over felt from her workshop. They are not toys and should not be given to children under the age of 3!
Would you like to win them? Here's how!
