I crank Tina Turner (I know, it's old, but for some reason gets me MOTIVATED!) cd & get to vacuuming! First I have to put the dog outside, though as he hates the vacuum cleaner! This is also an added bonus as I HATE getting caught by the UPS man dancing with the vacuum! He is afraid of the dog, so now he just leaves the pkg in the garage! Either that or he is afraid he will witness it again! Poor guy!
ReplyDeleteThanks!

I liven things up by opening the windows, puttin on some rockin tunes, and vaccum away!!! The mixture of the fresh cleaning smells, breeze, and vaccum noise somehow lull my kiddos right into quiet/ nap mode. Once they're down, I chill out on my cleaned carpet with a good book and a glass of wine;-) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI Dont Really Do Much To Liven Up My Spring Cleaning Experience, Other Than Opening The Windows & Letting The Spring Breeze Blow Throughout The House. When Im Cleaning I Just Want To Hurry Up & Get It Finished. I am In Desperate need of good smelling products for my house. i have an inside dog that loves to pee all over everything, i cant get the smell out of the carpets & im ashamed for anyone to come over. so winning these cleaning products or gc would help me out alot since i cant afford to buy anything at the moment.
ReplyDeleteThe kids love to help clean. They have their own little cleaning kits (since I have a 4 year old, his spray bottle is just water but my 9 year old has the real stuff)and we usually put on Radio Disney or pop in one of the teenie bopper cd's and get down to business. My son wipes down all the cabinets with his water spray bottle and blue rag(his favorite color), my daughter loves to dust the entertainment center and wipe off the tables and I do most of the dirty work....lol Sometimes, I am pretty sure we do more dancing around and singing than we clean. But that's ok with me. We have fun together! The vacuum, along with the broom and mop, turns into a moving microphone as we belt out the lyrics to our favorite songs. I am pretty sure the neighbors think we are nuts, but cleaning is an important thing, so I think making it fun is going to help my kids pick up good cleaning habits.
ReplyDeleteOpen the windows to freshen up the house... My son helps with the dusting and vacuuming... (I really HATE house cleaning!)
ReplyDeletestonemedic76@hotmail.com
Spring cleaning for me starts with the Ipod on full blast, windows open and screen door in and then taking down all the drapes for the dry cleaners and removing all of the furniture in our living room and kitchen so we can wash the floors. Then the couch and rugs get a good once over with the vacuum and a good spray of the Anti-Allergy spray of Febreeze!! Mattresses get turned over and again sprayed with Febreeze!!
ReplyDeletegracie1973@hotmail.com
I love to just give the house a super scrub down. I dust/vacuum/wash everything in the house - even the stuff that you don't usually clean. Air filters are changed, fridge washed down, furniture moved....etc
ReplyDeleteI am the only female in my house of 4, so I use Febreze alot all year long ! It makes my house smell like spring in the middle of the long dreary Michigan winters ! That first over 45 degree day, the door wall is open wide and windows are cracked to smell and feel that great spring air. The blanket throws get aired out on the deck and they smell so good when you wrap up in them on those chilly nights. My carpet gets a good overhaul of stain treatments and vacuuming. I keep my house pretty clean all year, so Spring cleaning for me is the excitement of that fresh air in the house ! Thanks for the chance to win.

My daughter uses her pretend vacuum while I vacuum, she loves it :)
ReplyDeleteTracysarah7@yahoo.com
As the mother of three very active sons, its hard to get them focused on cleaning with me. So we turn it into a "contest" of sorts. We sound the pretend starting gun, then race off to see who can get their task done faster. The kids have a blast, the cleaning gets done, and we all get a little exercise at the same time!
ReplyDeleteI get my hubby to get everyone out of the house for a few hours. I try to use as many natural products as possible like vinegar and baking soda. I do "spring cleaning" every few months so nothing gets to dirty or hard to clean
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you heard about how children and animals hate the vacuum cleaner... Well in my house its a little different. My 8 month baby boy is now crawling and everytime we go to vacuum not only does he follow the vacuum around the house - crawling as fast as he can - but when it stops, Evan tries to climb it, and ride it like a horse! Its hilarious to watch, it seems he actually gets upset when we turn it off!
ReplyDeleteMy spring fling clean event starts w/ good loud music & open windows. Then I spray the furniture down w/ the liquid Febreeze (fabric freshener) in Lavender & Vanilla comfort. I even put a fine mist on the carpets prior to vacuuming. :) When I start the vacuuming it is quite the humorous event because I have a Manx cat that chases the vacuum cleaner & a Persian that hisses at it. lol
ReplyDeleteSince I haven't yet made it to spring here in Wisconsin I can't do what I normally would want to do. I love opening the windows and letting in the cool spring air. I haven't used febreeze that often but will have to start, because I really like it just don't think about it while I am cleaning. I would love to use some near the cat litter box, since I try to use a litter that is environmentally safe it often leaves my husband and I smelling the more natural scents, I would love for Febreeze to cover up those scents and give us other wonderful natural smells.
ReplyDeleteI liven up spring cleaning with projects around the house. Multitasking cleaning experience. Carpet cleaning is a regular experience around our house with two kids, two dogs and two cats....
ReplyDeleteAnneliz702@hotmail.com
We put on Christina Aguilara's Dirty and start throwing things away! When it comes to carpet cleaning my little man likes to stand on the vacuum while we roll along.
ReplyDeleteI open the windows, crank the music, and let my daughter help =]
ReplyDeleteanw1107@aol.com
I think when it comes to spring cleaning, opening up the windows and doors is a must! Along with that, I'm just as guilty as the rest of you ladies when it comes to cranking up music really loud. I'm not exactly a fan of cleaning, but I do like trying out new products and new scents to make the house look and smell extremely clean! Trying new things makes spring cleaning more interesting and doesn't seem like so much work!
ReplyDeleteWell Spring is coming up and its time to open windows and spring clean....starting with the carpets and furniture.......I would love to try Febreze carpet cleaner, and all the other accessories......
ReplyDeletesandielee64@hotmail.com
starts with the windows open, a little scentsy room spray in the air, music, windows open, and an iced coffee...
ReplyDeleteI only have carpet on my stairs so you would think vacuuming is not a weekly chore. That would be the case if it were not my cat’s favorite spot to sit. She loves to sit at the top of the stairs and watch all that goes on bellow. Therefore, for my weekend workout, I vacuum and freshen up the stairs. I put on my work out shoes and my pedometer and get a good sweat going. Front of the step going up the stairs… Top of the step going down… Left arm left side of the step… Right arm right side of the step… When I done the stairs look and smell like new and I get to reward myself with a “treat” for the calories I just burned!
ReplyDeleteWhen I do my spring cleaning i like to open the windows and turn up the radio and sing along to my favorite songs while i clean.
ReplyDeleteWhen I do my spring cleaning, I crank up the music and open the windows if it is warm enough! I usually have 3 little helpers, ages 6, 3, and 2. They usually help by "washing down" items in the house with their rags, and even do their own little dances to the music!! We call it our Spring Cleaning Dance!:)
ReplyDeleteI put on the music loud and open the windows and get to the cleaning. For the carpet i sprinkle baking soda on it
ReplyDeletetoo funny i didnt even look at the posts and i read above the same kind of post great minds think alike
ReplyDeleteI love Spring cleaning! I too crank up the music...prefer Prince...and let the fresh outside air mingle with the Febreeze fresheners I'm using on my carpets and upholstery. I start with the kids room, then mine and finish in the living room so once I'm done I can relax on the freshly cleaned couch and enjoy the breeze.
ReplyDeleteWhen i do the carpets, dishes, laundry etc...normally my middle son helps out. Sometimes we dance, sometimes we sing, sometimes we dont say a thing. But he is normally in hand w/his little vaccum when im doing the carpets...or he comes and throws an outfit or two in the wash..or climbs o the dish washer door to help get a dish out and hand it too me. My older son is normally keeping my youngest intertained b/c my youngest is SCARED of the vaccum :(
ReplyDeleteI listen to my iPod while vacuuming and cleaning. Rocking out to music makes the tasks seem to go quicker!
ReplyDeleteI like to listen to music when I clean that is the only thing to keep me motivated

I am a stay at home mom of a 3 year old and a 2 year old. We liven up cleaning by cranking up country music on the radio and dance a little bit and then I give both of my kids some rags and they help me polish the furniture! They have a blast and love to help me clean. My 3 year old son also loves it when I vacuum! He grabs one of his toys or his little play vacuum and "vacuums" right along with me. He even makes the humming sound. It is so cute! He does such a good job with his pretend vacuum, he even pretends to get under the couches and tables with the hose on his vacuum. He was doing that ever since he could walk. My 2 year old little girl loves to wipe the tables down and likes to sweep the floors with her little broom and dustpan kit that she has. Also very cute! I am a bit of a clean freak, so cleaning takes place about two or more times a week in our house. Thanks for the opportunity to win this! :)
ReplyDeleteFirst off, I get some great smelling products to clean the carpets! I then crank up some awesome music! I have my daughter get her play vaccuum and we dance together to the music while vaccumming:) My 1-year old son gets in the action too sometimes and helps me push the vaccuum as we dance, groove and clean:)
ReplyDeleteOur cleaning is quite the experience. I have a 4 year old daughter that LOVES to clean!!! We turn on the stero and take off. She's right there with me vacuuming, cleaning windows, cleaning furniture, scrubbing floors and shampooing carpets. Last time we did it a week ago, she worked so hard I found her asleep under the coffee table where she was dusting the legs. LOL
ReplyDeleteWe use extra strength baking soda odour eliminator, leave it for about 15 minutes before we vacuum thoroughly. The carpet smells fresher after this. Once in a while, we move the furnitures to vacuum the carpet are which are most of the time neglected. My little one helps us by cleaning her things and throw away unwanted papers. We normally send her upstairs when we're cleaning the first level so she won't inhale the dust during cleaning. After everything is done...we spray the febreeze odour eliminator on our couch and curtains :)

Our carpet makes me crazy. This past Christmas we received a Bissell carpet cleaner and it has been really helpful, especially with having a dog. We are always looking for a great line of carpet cleaning products. My husband would be thrilled over this :)
ReplyDeletenicoletteamay at yahoo dot com
Well, it's cleaning, so there's only so much you can do, but music helps as does dancing with my little girl. I want her to see that chores can be fun too. It's pretty satisfying when I'm done and the house looks and smells clean!
ReplyDeleteolivia.lasting at gmail dot com
When we do our carpet care (right now it is just vaccuuming with the occasional carpet deodarizer) the kids all get involved. My 2 yr old and 4 year old help me push the vaccuum while my 8 month old chases the vaccuum and if it stops long enough he tries to climb on it. When we are done my 2 year old steps on the lever to roll up the cord. We do it all together and have more fun that way.

ReplyDeletethis year spring cleaning has been tough. with an 8 month old boy and a 5 month old puppy, I can use all the help I can get.

When it comes to spring cleaning we go all out. This is the huge cleaning for the beginning of the year. My hubby helps out as well as my 5 year old daughter. We put on the music and we listen to an assortment from country, pop, rock, r&b to kid music. We open up the windows and I put out my Febreze flameless candles. What I love about those candles is first off how safe they're especially having a 5 year old. The scents are marvelous and work for us. I use the wooden wick candles for our bedroom the hubby and I. They set a romantic vibe in the room and the candle lasts forever! We go through our whole house and find stuff we no longer need or use. We donate our clothes, coats, shoes, canned food, toys & games to our local action center called, "Helping Hands" which helps people that don't or can't afford some things. Separate anything that can be recycled and throw the rest away. This also clears space in my daughters bedroom. Once that's out of the way we put all our winter clothes away. I spray the clothes with Febreze Linen & Sky spray and add a few dryer sheets in the totes that way they smell fresh all year. Nothing like opening it up and smelling that awesome smell in the winter. I throw some clothes in the washer using my Tide with Febreze (Spring & Renewal) detergent. That way my daily chores don't get overwhelming with the spring cleaning. My daughter cleans out the couch where she likes to find money we've lost and whatever else that has been missing for a year. We add the money to our jar to which we save for our summer fun family outings. She finds fun in this plus it starts her young on having responsiblity and learns her the aspect of cleaning. We spray down the couch with Febreze allergy reducer spray which is amazing and works wonders. We have terrible allergies so this helps tremendously. I take down the blinds and I put them in the bath tub and add water with a little bleach and they look brand new again. Helps save on buying new ones. My hubby helps me clean all the windows in the house. I buy as many green products as I can to do house cleaning. My daughter vaccums the floor and I let her sprinkle the baking soda she finds that amusing for some reason. My hubby cleans one bathroom while I clean the other. We clean the toliets, showers, bath tub, sinks and mirrors, and floor. In the kitchen I make sure I clean out the refrigerator and throw away any outdated products. Wipe it down as well as the microwave and stove. I like to use pinesol on cleaning my kitchen floor because it smells so wonderful and puts a shine to my floor. I dust everything in the house because my house gets really dusty. My pictures and definitely the fans.

ReplyDeleteI use furinture polish on all my end tables leaving behind a great shine. We wipe down all the walls which my daughter loves this. She also likes doing the sweeping and mopping. Which I go over of course. Throughout the cleaning we have fun times whether it be throwing a sponge at each other or scary each other by hiding. I have a Bissell carpet cleaner that I use on the carpet but the stains that my daughter has left from kool aide and over things has just ruined my carpet. Also stains from my hubby and his friends from ATV riding and getting mud all over it. I use the Febreze (Linen & Sky) spray for the carpet and air. It helps with the smell that's tracked throughout the carpet on a daily basis. I would like to get the stains out of my carpet and I haven't tried the Febreze carpet care products yet but I would love to. I also would love to try the Febreze laundry odor eliminator. Last but not certainly not least the most important of all we check all of the smoke alarms and make sure they're working properly and add new batteries. As well as faulty wiring throughout the house or any other things that could be dangerous. We make sure our family has an emergency plan down in case of any emergency. This is part of our spring cleaning. Also make sure I get the outside ready for spring by getting rid of whatever is old and looks bad. Whatever needs to be done to bring in the beautiful that is on it's way. I make a check list of everything to do that way I don't forget anything. You may call us clean freaks or huge Febreze fans but either way this is how we clean for Spring!!
(Sorry didn't know if there was a limit on writing but it was hard to sum all of my cleaning up on one comment!! Sorry so long!)

Spring cleaning in my house consists of cleaning the whole house from ceiling to floor. We empty out all the closets and go through all of our stuff and decide what we don't need. If it has sat in a closet for a year then you don't need it. Then we make the house smell great for months to come with febreeze spray and plug-in air effects!
ReplyDeleteI light some candles, put some good smelling crystals in the vacuum bag, and start sweeping. Crank up some music I can dance to (so I can look like a total dork dancing around my house while running the sweeper). I start in the living room, then move to the hallways and bedrooms. Have to make sure the music is loud enough to hear in the whole house - lol! When I'm done, I spay some Febreez everywhere, just to make the whole house smell great!

ReplyDeleteIn cities with real crowded and fast forward life house cleaning is a headache some times. Individuals who own homes, tenants, and one-off occasions especially used domestic cleaning services. This save the time but lose the money when you not get wanted results. Find service providers that can provide you modeled services and some additional services like carpet cleaning.
