I wouldn't call us a sports fanatic family, but we ARE a football fanatic team. I love, love the Dallas Cowboys and my husband is a big San Fransico 49ers fan. We've already started to share of love of football with Maggie. She has her own Tony Romo Cowboys jersey and during football season we taught her how to make the "touchdown" hand motion.

Lil Teammates sent us an assortment of action figures, inlcuding Cowboy and 49er ones! Maggie saw the packages and wanted them out, right away. She's still, of course, a little young to really pretend play with them, but she had a blast carrying them around the house and looking them over.
I love them as a mom because they are well made and the perfect size. Not too small that we are stepping on them or worrying that Maggie will choke on them. It's also nice to have a way to share our favorite sports team with her through play.

not English Mastiff proof. *sigh* You win some, you lose some--in our house, we unfortuntaly lose too many--toys that is! It's still in playable condition at least (she only got the legs), so we're keeping it!

I love the Dallas Cowboys. it is the team that my dad loves, so I grew up watching them and now I am a huge fan!! How bout them Cowboys!!

We love the Baltimore Orioles because it was the first MLB game that we had ever been to as a family. We were invited by my sister in law's college to enjoy a game while we were visiting and loved the excitement. Our daughter tried to catch every foul ball that came near our section and enjoyed a hot dog, crackerjacks, and of course cotton candy. She never did catch an actual foul ball but did get a foam finger and a replica ball to remember the day. :)

ReplyDeleteMy favorite baseball team is the Los Angeles Dodgers because it was the name of the first T-ball team I was on as a boy (growing up in NY state, mind you). My mother painstakingly went through the trouble (I can't even imagine) of locating & buying me Dodgers fan apparel (early 80's = no internet!) Love her for that! Also, blue is my favorite color, and I ended up moving from NY to LA, just like the (orig. Brooklyn) Dodgers did.
