DANO Duck Review and Giveaway

Maggie's favorite time of the day is bath time! She loves the water! I'm taking her swimming for the first time this summer season next week and I just know she's going to have a blast!

We recently got a new bath toy I wanted to share with you. It's the DanoToys Ducki!

The DANO Ducki is a unique teether and bath toy that is made in the USA. It features:
•PVC-free, FDA-compliant medical grade materials. Also BPA- and Phthalate-free.
•A hatch on the bottom that opens for cleaning and to allow it to air out at the end of each bath.
•2 teething surfaces: the tail and the beak.
•3 fun colors: Yellow, Pink and Blue.
•Dishwasher safe, top rack only.

We got the yellow one to try out and my daughter loves it. She knows how to sign "duck" now and she loves making it swim through her tub. I love how easy it is to clean! So many of her bath toys trap water inside (including her other bath ducks) but this one makes it easy to dry it out. As someone who is allergic to mold, I'm so glad that is one less place I have to worry about it!  I think it would have made a great teether for her too (she's basically past the stage of chewing on her toys).

You can purchase one of these cute little ducks HERE for just $9!

DanoToys wants to give a Ducki to one of my readers!

Cutesy Tushies Cloth Diaper Review and Giveaway

At Cutesy Tushies, we strive to make great cloth diapers that are both affordable and cute! We use quality materials for our products. Cloth diapers are best for your baby, so why not have them be cute as well!!! We have a large selection of fabrics and add more fabric choices will be added on a monthly basis.

You will also now find from time to time additional products that are non-cloth diaper related due to our joining with Miss Tayla's Boutique! So stop by often as you never know what you are going to find!

I recently had the chance to try out my first Cutesy Tushies cloth diaper and I really love it!

The diaper I was sent is a One Size pocket diaper that is Red Cross Embroidered. This diaper has an extra amount of snaps and I really love that. It has been so easy to get a good fit that is not too tight/loose.  Getting a good fit means that I haven't gotten ANY leaks with this diaper--and that is very important to me! The first time Maggie wore the diaper, she had a play date. I forgot to change her she was so busy playing and I was so busy chatting. 3+ hours later when I got her ready for her nap, I changed her diaper and was so happy to see that her clothes were still dry. With some of her diapers we have started to get compression leaks, but I haven't had that problem at all with this diaper. You can also order a second microfiber insert (as I did) for nighttime. Doubling up on the insert makes this diaper the perfect nighttime solution! Maggie went all night long without a leak--yeah!!

Michelle at Cutesy Tushies is amazing to work with as well! She is really friendly and willing to do customs for you!  No matter what your diaper style, I'm sure you'll find one you love at Cutesy Tushies! She has ruffle diapers, bling diapers, sized diapers, and oh so many fabrics to choose from!

She'd like to offer one of my readers one of her awesome diapers! The winner of this giveaway will win this diaper:

It is a French Chocolate print, OS, Velcro tabs, and comes with a microfiber insert.  You will love this diaper!

Make sure you check out Cutesy Tushies' Facebook page, Etsy, and Website and order a diaper or 2 to try out!

Scan Digital Review (Guest Blogger!) & Giveaway

I'm loving my guest blogger program! I enjoying sharing my review opportunities with my readers and having fresh opinions on this blog. Please welcome Christina from "And For Good Measure" and make sure you check out her own blog!

When Janessa over at Thrifty Nifty Mommy (a blog that I love! :) asked for volunteers to do possible reviews for her, I jumped at the opportunity. I wasn't sure what sort of review I was going to be doing, or if I would even be chosen, but I was and I loved the company I was able to review, ScanDigital.

I am a huge fan of taking pictures and video of my children! I love looking at old pictures and video of my childhood. If you are the same type of person, ScanDigital is definitely a company you should check out.

They are able to take film reels and negatives and scan them to a CD, DVD or external hard drive. They are able to take old home movies and transfer them to a DVD or external hard drive. ScanDigital is your go to company for any of your scanning/transferring needs.

If I had access to old home movies from my childhood I would have had them transferred to DVD, but since I didn't I chose to take two miniDV's we have of when Manuel was first born and had them transferred. So instead of watching them on our tiny video camera screen we can watch them on regular TV which he LOVES (and so do we! :))

Their website is very user friendly and has a huge array of services and products to offer. When I had a question arise about how to place an order I received awesome customer service and a very quick response to my e-mail.

We received the package in the mail and I was very impressed with how well it was packaged. They returned my original videos back to me, and I was a tad nervous about them being damaged in the shipping process. When I opened the box and saw the extent ScanDigital went to make sure my package was secure and packed well, I knew my items were all safe.

Last night we sat down as a family and watched both videos and they were AWESOME! :) I was amazed by the quality of the DVD's (especially considering my lackluster recording skills! ;))

I would definitely use ScanDigital in the future for any transferring/scanning needs!

*I was not given any monetary compensation for this review. I was given a gift code to put towards any of their products but that did not affect my review. My review is an honest representation of how I felt about the product and company*

Scan Digital would like to give one of my readers a $25 credit to use on their website! Use the form below to enter for your chance to win!

    Manely Recycled by Audioamy Review

Are you sitting down? I need to prepare you to see THE CUTEST thing you've ever seen (well, of course after my daughter)! Okay, you ready:

*Gasp* I LOVE this! Okay, for those of you who are not Mary Poppins fanatics like I am, this adorable stick pony was made using the Mary Poppins carousel house as the inspiration. I am just amazed at the awesome job that Amy did on this stick pony!! My daughter loves it, I love it--we couldn't be happier!  The workmanship on this pony is phenomenal! I know that we are going to be playing with this pony for years to come. I can't wait for us to have a little boy--I'm going to get him Bert's horse....or maybe see about a special order dinosaur since that was always hubby's favorite. Whatever I get, I know it will be incredible!

You should really check out Amy's work. She is an AMAZING artist!! She is always putting up new ponies (and now she's even done other animals like giraffes and lions!) that I drool over. You can find her work on Etsy and on Facebook.

*I was not paid for this review. I was sent this horse free of charge, but that has not affected my review. I love my pony and wish to share the fabulous store with you!*

    Bebe Diva Wear Review

My husband and I love to dress-up our little girl in the girliest things we can find. I love the way she looks in her little dresses with her hair all pretty. I love that she has so much hair now that we are really able to do a lot of things with it.

Bebe Diva Wear sent me out this awesome headband for Maggie to try out and I love it! It's great to dress up one of her everyday outfits, but I'm also thinking that it will be a great accent for when she gets all fancied up for my sister's upcoming wedding!

Let me share with you a little bit about Bebe Diva Wear and the brains behind the designs, Rachel (in her own words!):

Hi, I'm Rachel. I am a part-time court reporter and Spanish translator and love creating different pieces of art. In my spare time I like to bake and decorate cupcakes, cakes, and work with chocolate. My latest venture has been making baby headbands. My daughter, Erica, called me one evening to see a baby on TV wearing a pretty headband. I told my daughter I could do those for her child. Funny thing is that my daughter is single and has no children. I then went to the store and started making my own Bebe' Diva headbands. My daughter showed it to a coworker, and she immediately bought one for her niece. I started to receive lots of compliments; hence, my inspiration. My daughter suggested putting my headbands online. And here we are today! I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I love making them :).

I can tell that Rachel puts a lot of care and time into her work! You can check out all of the goodies she makes at her Etsy shop and you should also visit her on Facebook. I'm having a huge giveaway event next month (for the whole month of July!) and Bebe Diva Wear will be a part of it! Stay tuned to see the beautiful headband you could win from her this July!

Bright Starts My Little Potty Chair Review

I couldn't believe it when, on Easter Sunday, Maggie started to indicate a desire to start potty training. She was only 13 months! It all started when I noticed her going to the bathroom and asked her about it. She proceeded to tap her diaper and shake her head yes. When I asked her if she wanted to use the big-girl potty she got very excited. I hurried her into the bathroom and the rest is history.

Ever since then, I've been taking her to use the potty at least a few times a day. Sure, she still goes to the bathroom in her diaper about 75% of the time, but she's slowly picking up on things. I haven't wanted to pressure her too much at this point and make it something that's no longer fun.

When Maggie started using the potty, she used our big toilet for a while. This was hard for 2 reasons.

    1. It really is way too big for her, and I don't think she was very comfortable sitting on it.
    2. I felt like I really needed to keep it clean every single day because she always wanted to touch everything on the potty while she was using the bathroom. As a busy mom, this is hard!

So, I began to hunt for the perfect potty for Maggie to use. I came across Bright Starts My Little Potty.
There were quite a few things that I liked about this potty:
    • The price can't be beat! This potty is only $11.99! I love that about Bright Starts. This company makes products that are affordable for any family.
    • I love the look/colors. The potty is green and blue. I prefer to buy things that are gender neutral like this so that they will be useful for us whether we have a girl or boy. We live in a townhouse, so I don't have the space to store a 2 different highchairs, potty chairs, etc.
    • The potty is easy to use and easy to clean! It's so easy to clean, that I feel comfortable carrying it all over my house. If we are in the living room, I take it in there. That way, there's no having to run to the bathroom an not making it in time.
    • The potty is the perfect size for Maggie. Her little bottom fits on it really well and the added handles help her to steady herself when she's sitting on it.
    • This potty is simple. Yes, it doesn't sing or have any toys attached to it, and I love it for that! Maggie gets distracted so easily at this age. It is much easier to keep her focus on the task at hand with this potty.

Maggie has really enjoyed this potty. In fact, the day I received it, she went #2 on it her first try! Normally you know I love to take pictures for you, but I haven't for this review. One day Maggie will be a teenager and I'm not sure how happy she'd be with me sharing her bathroom pictures with all of you. I'm sure you understand!

If you have a child who is potty training, or will be soon, I would highly recommend the Bright Starts My Little Potty Chair. You can purchase this chair yourself on Bright Start's website, at Target, and at Buy Buy Baby.

*I was not paid for this review. I only share my honest opinions. Thanks to the company for the complimentary review item.*
