Fluff Friends App

Some of you might remember that I got my very FIRST app-capable device (an IPod Touch) in November. Ever since then, I've been exploring the wonderful world of Apps! There are so many cool Apps out there and a ton of fun games! There's a new mobile app that I  just started playing that I wanted to tell you about; it's called Fluff Friends. Fluff Friends introduces players to the real - world challenges of rescuing pets by nursing animals back to health while running your own animal shelter and ultimately contributing to The Humane Society in a unique, interactive gaming experience. Every other game on the market focuses on buying dogs but with this game, you'll be rescuing them!

Fluff Friends Rescue empowers players to rescue stray cats and dogs from sickness, injury and hunger back to tail-wagging health. Every Fluff Friends Rescue pet has a happiness meter which monitors healing and increases happiness as each pet spends time in four different vital areas of pet rehabilitation and nourishment including veterinarian, food, grooming and play-time/fun stations. By interacting with the animals and making the rounds to each one of these interactive rehab stations, players improve each pet’s outlook as he or she gets healthy and ready for adoption. This game is kinda like a Sim City, or Oregon Trail type game, just with the animal rescue theme.

We have a cat who was a stray that we rescued and one of our dogs came from our local Humane Society. She has turned out to be a GREAT dog and I was so happy to be able to give her a home. This is her--her name is Emmy:

I especially love that this game actually gives you the opportunity to help the Humane Society of the United States while you play it.  Purchasing Humane Society of the United States branded items throughout the game will translate to vital funding for the nation's largest and most effective animal protection organization. One hundred percent of the net proceeds from the sale of these items will go directly to The Humane Society of the United States’ Animal Rescue Team which assists local authorities during natural disasters and man-made cruelty situations such as puppy mills and animal fighting rings. In the U.S., future versions of Fluff Friends Rescue will include a PetFinder feature — which will offer real-time access to real adoptions for pets as well as branded merchandise.

I love being able to support a good cause, while having fun at the same time! Visit an App store and check it out (oh, and did I mention it's a free App to download?!?) Enjoy!!
