Earthy Crunchy Mama Bravado Nursing Bra Review and Giveaway

I'm 26 weeks pregnant right now (so close to the 3rd trimester--yay!) and really starting to think ahead to what I need to buy before this baby arrives.  One of the top items on my list is nursing bras! Yes, I nursed my daughter Maggie (for over 13 months!) but I bought cheap, horrible nursing bras and I don't want to suffer again! They weren't supportive, didn't keep their shape well and were very uncomfortable.

I just outgrew my very last non-nursing bra, so the time to start looking was upon me. Earthy Crunchy Mama came to my rescue and sent me one of their Bravado-The Original Nursing Bra (Basic Style) nursing bras. I bought one Bravado nursing tank when I was nursing Maggie and it immediately became my favorite! I was eager to see if their nursing bras would be just as nice as the tanks! This is the description of the bra:

The Original Nursing Bra has been recommended by Lactation Consultants for over 18 years. This cotton nursing bra is adapts to your changing shape making it perfect for pregnancy right through to nursing. Moms love to live and sleep in the Original Nursing Bra 24/7 - especially in the early stages when comfort is the key in your journey to breastfeeding success.

What I Thought:

This nursing bra is VERY comfortable and VERY supportive. It is far superior to any of the other nursing bras I had with my daughter! It is shaped in many ways like a sports bra--there are no clasps in the back/front so you'll need to pull it down over your head to put it on.  I can wear it all day long and be comfortable. The cotton fabric in the bra cups is somewhat thin and there is no padding. The nice thing about that is that is is super breathable for nursing and, or course, normally when you are nursing a baby and you're out in public, you're going to have some sort of pad on anyways. The only possible drawback would be if you are wearing a thin shirt and you are not wearing nursing pads, if you get cold, there's a chance that others will be able to tell--if you catch my drift! *wink*.   Also, this bra is not the sexiest or as figure flattering as a nursing bra like the Allure Underwire Nursing Bra from Bravado, but for your everyday nursing bra, it is fabulous!

Sorry, this is one review without a picture taken by me. I'm pretty modest!

I've actually already recommended these bras to a friend of mine who is due with her first child a few weeks after me! My ideal nursing bra stash would consist of about 4-5 of these nursing bras, 4-5 of the Bravado nursing tanks, and 1 or 2 sexier nursing bras like the Allure Bra I mentioned above. Take it from me--do yourself a favor and spend a little bit of extra money to get nice nursing bras--you'll end up saving money in the long run (because now I have bras I bought but never wear) plus your boobs and back will thank you for it!

You can purchase any of the nursing bras/tanks I've mentioned from Earthy Crunchy Mama. She also has a ton of other great nursing products like nursing covers, shirts, and reusable  pads!
