Mohawk Home Rug Review and Giveaway

When we moved into our townhouse, it had wall-to-wall carpeting (well, except for the kitchen and bathroom). My husband and I said we wanted to put in hardwood flooring. 2 years later, we still have the carpet. It really isn't that bad, it's just that is is almost white, and with 2 dogs, a cat, and a 2 year old, it's hard to keep it clean! I feel like I'm constantly getting out the carpet scrubber! The worst part of the floor is in our living room where we spend most of our time. That carpet there is also the most worn, and it's noticeable. I've been wanting to get an area rug to put there for over a year now and Mohawk Home came to my rescue!

Mohawk Home allowed me to choose the rug I wanted to review and let me tell you, it was such a hard choice!! There were SO many nice rugs to choose from, I honestly spent over an hour deciding which one I wanted. In the end, I decided on this rug because I felt like it would not only pull in all of the colors of my main level, but it also has character. I tend to be plain and boring in my decorating I feel sometimes, so I wanted a rug that was more than just a solid color.

I honestly have to say I WAS nervous about getting a rug with patterns on it because I just wasn't sure how it would end up looking. Here are before pictures of my living room:

As you can see, our English Mastiff took to the new rug right away! I LOVE this rug! I think it looks great in our living room and my husband agrees. One of my other big concerns with the rug was how easily it would vaccuum. My inlaws have a rug in their dining room that is SO hard to vaccum and the dog hair just sticks to it. I'm happy to say that this rug vacuums up SO easily and well! We've had this rug for almost 2 weeks now and I can't imagine not having it now. It gives our living room so much more color and just makes the room look so much better.  It is soft, comfortable, and just what I was hoping it would be! I can tell that its a well-made, quality rug! Maggie loves playing on the new rug!
