National Painting Week--Sherwin-Williams Paint Giveaway!

We are only 3 weeks from due date in this house--3 WEEKS! I'm so excited and SO ready to have this baby! We've been so busy that getting his room ready has taken us longer than we'd expected, but hopefully the nursery will be done by next weekend.

Becky, a Sherwin-Williams paint, color and design expert offered up these tips for parents preparing a nursery:

The number one tip I would offer to expecting parents is not to feel pressure to use a light blue or pink. Instead, you can use colors that are already in your home and bring in accents to make it feel like a nursery. This way you can still achieve cohesive, room-to-room color flow.

For those who are cost conscious and maybe don't want to repaint an entire room, you can try stripes in a contrasting color or incorporate a piece of furniture you've painted. Of course, your bedding and drapery will help complete the look.

For those parents that want to be sure everything matches, we have six collections designed to coordinate with Fisher-Price® Baby Gear, as well as specifically designed paint palettes to make selecting color for a nursery or any child's room a bit easier.

Getting ready for baby can be expensive and these ideas are economical — all you need to do is tape and paint.

We painted our new babies room a BRIGHT blue and I LOVE it! Once the room is all done, I'll post some pictures!

Are you in the middle of a home/room renovation project too? Did you know that this week is  National Painting Week!?   Now through the entire week, Sherwin-Williams will offer design, color and painting ideas at www.NationalPaintingWeek.com. Each day has a designated color with a fun project idea to try in your own home. You can also find completed projects from other bloggers in honor of National Painting Week.

In celebration of this week, Sherwin-Williams is going to give one of my lucky readers FIVE gallons of free paint! If you'd like a chance to win, just fill out the easy Rafflecopter entry form below. Don't see it? Click "read more" to bring it up! Good luck!
