As I learned more about using cloth diapers with Maggie, I also learned about wool dryer balls. Have you heard of them or tried them yet? While great for cloth diapers, wool dryer balls are great for all of your laundry!
What are wool dryer balls?
A wool dryer ball is a felted ball of wool that you use in your clothes dryer to help separate your clothes. Having several in your dryer creates a constant motion that allows for more air to circulate around your wet laundry so your clothes will dry faster. The more dryer balls you use, the less time it takes to dry a load.
Why use wool dryer balls?
- help reduce static – wool fibers can absorb static cling
- naturally soften clothes due to the friction of the balls against the fabric
- makes clothes fresher and smell cleaner – since wool has the ability to absorb toxins and odors
- reduce your dry time by 10 –25%

I think the Wool Dryer Balls are a great idea! I have been trying to find a substitute for a fabric softener which does not contain a whole of chemicals. Would love to try them.

I LOVE the sounds of the wool dryer balls and I have been wanting to try them! I love the fact that they don't have all the chemicals (something I hadn't ever thought about) and they lessen drying time!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Thank you for this chance!
ReplyDeleteI love wool dryer balls! I tried to make a couple myself and now a year later they are shedding and not doing so great. These look wonderful and will certainly help in the dryer!
ReplyDeleteThis is the first I have ever heard of these. I would love to try them. With three kids under three easy and safe is always best when launders involved.
ReplyDeleteThis is the second time I've heard of them. I really want to try them.I'm all for anything to make my clothes dry faster. they're safe and that's important.Thank you for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI have 2 that I use because they help my diapers dry faster (and dryer sheets are an absolute no-no when it comes to cloth diapers), but they're starting to shed fibers on my clothes. I'd love to try Wooly Rounds!
ReplyDeleteI have not tried them yet, but I REALLY want to! I hear they are way safer then dryer sheets, they wont make a residue covering over the sensor on the dryer (to tell when the items are dry) and I also hear they reduce drying time! AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I am a cloth diapering momma and I hear they help cloth diapers dry faster!
I haven't tried wool balls yet but it is a good idea. I don't use fabric softner or dryer sheets. I do had white vinegar to the final rinse and that helps with softening. I do love anything that makes drying time shorter.
ReplyDeleteI have heard that wool dryer balls helps dry your clothes faster and reduces the need for fabric softener.

Wool dryer balls seem like a great idea.

I think the dryer balls make an excellent alternative to dryer sheets. Plus they last so long!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried wool dryer balls, but I would like to give them a chance. cwitherstine at zoominternet dot net
ReplyDeleteI've never tried them but I am dying to try them. I'm not a big fan of dryer sheets so this would be perfect for us!
ReplyDeleteI just love wool dryer balls! So much better than buying dryer sheets over and over--all that waste.

I love dryer balls. I have not used any dryer sheets because we cloth diaper, so dryer balls are perfect for us.
ReplyDeleteMy hubby and I were literally just talking about these yesterday! I really want to try them as we stopped using dryer sheets/fabric softener a while ago.
ReplyDeleteI bought my wool dryer balls from a Mom at www.WoolDryerBalls.com years ago and we LOVE them!! Hers are undyed and NOT raveled up yarn like others out there that do unravel in the dryer after a month or so use. We have saved so much money by not buying softeners anymore and cutting the dryer's drying time shorter!! They are PERFECT for all types of laundry including cloth diapers and towels.
ReplyDeleteI have been meaning to try these!! We don't use fabric sheets.
ReplyDeletethey sounds great id love to try them
ReplyDeleteI would really like to try these! We live in an apartment building with coin-operated laundry and the dryer always leaves everything a little wet (and I'm too cheap to spend another $1.25 to run it again) so there are always slightly wet clothes hanging in our tiny apartment. These might be the solution!
ReplyDeletei think there realy neet and i love to try them
ReplyDeleteI have never tried them but I would love to!

These sound great! I also dont like the chemicals used on dryer sheets and i would like to try these as an alternative, thanks!!
ReplyDeleteI love wool dryer balls, there are three in my dryer right now! I would love a few more to cut back even more on my drying time!
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to try some for awhile, would love the chance to win some :)
ReplyDeleteI would like to try these to see if they reduce drying time.
ReplyDeleteI am interested in that they could help reduce drying time
ReplyDeleteKims2312@verizon.net
We use wool dryer balls. I like not having to throw in a fabric softener sheet, especially since I use cloth diapers and that wouldn't be good for them. I am not really sure if they cut down on drying time.. things seem to be coming out of the dryer "more dry" than before, but I really should be watching how long the dryer cycles itself. I love that you can add scent to it too! what a great option.
ReplyDeleteI love that I'm not using chemicals with wool dryer balls.
ReplyDeleteI have never tried these but they look like a great alternative to costly dryer sheets.cardshark42(at)hotmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteI have 4 dryer balls but I've heard that their effectiveness is even BETTER when you have 8 or so...I hope to win!
ReplyDeleteHaven't tried them, but I hear great things!
ReplyDeleteThey sound great, although I'm kind of wondering if the "constant friction" that they cause makes clothing wear down faster. I'm the type of person that only buys clothes when I literally need them, and I'd hate for my clothes to fall apart quicker.
ReplyDeleteI want to try these. I hate dryer sheets, they cling to my clothing and then my dogs find them and tear them up!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have some to eliminated one more set of chemicals from out house as well as the $ spent each month.
ReplyDeleteI love wool dryer balls. I recently bought 2, but now one has gone missing. It must be inside of a shirt or something-very mysterious. :o( So I could definitely use some more!
ReplyDeleteI've actually yet to try wool dryer balls, but I feel a bit silly about that as so many people I know swear by them. We do so much laundry with a baby that anything that reduces drying time would be very, very helpful!
ReplyDeleteLove them! I only have two and need to get some more. :)
ReplyDeleteI think they're great! I've made a couple for myself, but mine all eventually unravel because I can't seem to felt them properly :(
ReplyDeleteI have a few..I am not convinced they are shortening dryer time. I need more to find out...
ReplyDeleteI made my own (5 so far) and I can't wait to add more...my drying time has been cut in half and can on get better especially when drying towels.
ReplyDeleteThese sound like such a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI am addicted to them! I have around 14-16 in my dryer right now! LOL I just got 4 new ones so I am thinking of giving my mom 5 of them so she can start using them too!
ReplyDeletetvpg at aol dot com
I don't have any, but I really want to try them on baby girl's prefolds to soften them up. I can see how they work to soften and cut down on drying time. Wish I were crafty enough to make my own.
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to try them but haven't gotten around to it. don't like the chemicals in dryer sheets but can't have static!
ReplyDeleteI'm really interested in trying these. I don't use dryer sheets because I think we already have enough chemicals in our lives. I really hate the static though. Saving energy is an enormous plus too!
ReplyDeleteI have never used them, but would love to try them.
ReplyDeleteI have never tried wool dryer balls, but I think it would be great to try them to reduce the drying time in my dryer.
ReplyDeleteI have never tried these wool balls, but I like the idea of not using chemicals with my wash

i think wool dryer balls are great alternative to liquid softners and dryer sheets
ReplyDeleteI like them a lot, but sometimes have to deal with major static issues.
ReplyDeleteI am really liking wool dryer balls, I have 3 and they are so much quieter than the plastic ones and I want more to see if I notice faster drying time.
ReplyDeleteI would love to try them because i've heard good things.
ReplyDeleteBBrittBrat1398@yahoo.com
They sounds like a nifty idea. I do alot of wash. Anything to save time would be great

I haven't tried them but have heard lots of good things & would love to win some. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love them. I only have 4 and I'd really like to double that because I know they would work so much better!! They are fantastic and I'd recommend them to anyone!!
ReplyDeleteI love them! Work great :)
ReplyDeleteI love the whole concept.
ReplyDeleteI'm interested in trying them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the contest.
I would love to try it! (Corey Olomon)
