This is the Joovy Greenie Caboose Ultralight Stand-On Tandem Stroller. Here is a brief description of the stroller from their website:
The new Ultralight Caboose is the lightest, most maneuverable tandem stroller available on the market today.
At 21 pounds the Caboose Ultralight is 20% lighter than the original Caboose and far lighter than most double strollers. When we say maneuverable, we mean it! The Caboose Ultralight can navigate narrow spaces with ease. The large, sealed ball bearing wheels give your children a smooth ride and you’ll find it is super easy to push. And thanks to its minimal weight, you can steer with just one hand!Kids absolutely love the independence and “cool” element the Caboose offers. The patented Stand-On-Tandem design gives your older child the freedom to choose between walking, standing and sitting. Parents tell us this single feature alone has given their child a head start at developing a healthy independence – a “win-win’ for both parents and kids alike. The Caboose Ultralight offers a cool, modern style and its tough 600D nylon fabric is available in rich, vivid colors: Blueberry, Orangie, Greenie, Brownie and Black.
Offering families options and flexibility, the Joovy Ultralight Caboose is a great investment for your growing family.

Now, let me get down to what I/We think of the Joovy Ultralight Caboose!
It falls upon my husband usually to assemble the bigger baby/child products we receive and this stroller was no exception. He set it up upstairs in our dining room so I was able to watch him do so. We actually set this stroller up while I was still pregnant, so that it would be ready to go when Jacob arrived. It took my husband about 15 minutes to assemble the stroller and have it all ready to go. He didn't have any trouble getting it all together. My daughter watched him assemble it as well, therefore she begged to take us for a walk right away!
When we took our first walk, Maggie wanted to sit in the front seat. At 2 years old, she fit very well into this seat with plenty of room to grow. We tried to convince her to ride on the back seat (or stand) but she refused. It was the front seat or nothing for her!
Here are some things that I noticed about this stroller during our first walk:
- The stroller is very easy to open/close. It takes mere seconds to do either!
- The stroller is high quality and well made! This is good, because I tend to be rough on things and I need them to last!
- The stroller is so easy to push. It glides along with ease.
- The color and style is amazing. I am absolutely in love with the look of this stroller in every way.
- The basket at the bottom is large and can hold a lot.
- There is a tray for Maggie to hold her drink and snacks (a must for her!)
Another thing I love about this stroller is that it cleans easily. Maggie spilled some of her smoothie on the fabric while we were shopping, and it was SO easy to wipe off with a baby wipe. Just a few wipes and you couldn't tell a bit! She's a messy kid (aren't they all?!?) so this is a huge plus!
Jacob arrived and I have to say that I was nervous about taking this stroller out with both kids because of Maggie's aversion to riding in the back. The stroller comes with an attachment (that is VERY quick and easy to get on) that goes on the front so that you can easily and safely attach an infant car seat (see picture above). The infant car seat must go in the front seat position, which meant that Maggie would have to ride in the back. After putting Jacob at the front spot, I told Maggie that I would like her to "help" me push the stroller and her brother. I showed her how to stand on the back platform and hold on the handles and "push," and it worked like a charm. She realized how much fun it was to stand, and ever since then she's been happy to ride on the back. The only drawback to her standing in the back is that she is still rather short and unable to see over her brother's car seat, so she has to lean over the side slightly if she'd like to see what is in front of her.
This may seem like a minor feature, but I was so excited to find out that with the back brakes, you only have to push on one to release/set both of them! Another thing I love is the extra large canopy! It covers SO much!!
I'm truly in love with this stroller! I really wish (and hope maybe they will venture into this soon!) the Joovy made infant car seats because I'd love to be able to have a car seat that would match this stroller. It is an awesome stroller that I know will last our family for years to come!

Joovy is a company I only recently discovered, but after reviewing this stroller, I'm really looking forward to trying out more of their products. I'm VERY impressed and think you will be too!

I love the Greenie!! I want one soo bad! :) Glad the fabric can be easily washed that is a big plus!!
ReplyDeleteWith the infant carrier and the front and Maggie in the back was it hard to turn corners?
ReplyDeleteWe had a sit and stand (not a Joovy) but with how long it was, it was impossible for me to turn corners with my 4 yo in the back and my little one in the front (she's 26 lbs now at 2) it was to the point where we got rid of it because I physically couldn't do it, without using all my might and feeling like I'm going to tip it over. I know the Joovy isn't as long as the one I had, but no store here actually has it on display to see and try out so I am hesitant to buy one.
Hi Mommy of 2!
DeleteI did not find it hard to turn corners at all with this stroller. I really think it moves SO well! In fact, we went out shopping one day (just me and the kids) and Jacob started crying. I had to take him out of his seat and hold him, so I had to push the stroller with one hand....in a watch store! It was also a pretty small store! It wasn't the easiest thing, obviously, but I was able to do it and I didn't hit anything! The wheels turn really well on this stroller. Hope that helps! My daughter is still pretty light, probably 25lbs so I'm not sure if having a heavier 4 year old on there would affect it much or not.
totally want one now. When we first used our old sit and stand, I couldn't do it with the infant carrier on the front, it was more impossible to turn than anything! thanks so much!
DeleteI have kids more your age and also have an ultralight. maybe its just because i had fancy single strollers that pushed so easy, but i do find the ultralight a little tough with two kids in the 25-35 lb range. it's still good in so many other ways that i don't mind, but don't expect the impossible. it's still an umbrella tandem, which means that the push is just not as good as a side-by-side heavy stroller.
Deletefor me, my 4.5 y.o. walks/rides his scooter enough that it isn't an issue. i actually like this stroller a lot for older kids who don't need to be in the stroller all the time. with one kid, this stroller pushes great.
Wow,
ReplyDeleteThe assembly looks like quite the project.
I want this SO BAD!
ReplyDeleteDoes the front seat have to be reclined to use the infant car seat? I'm wondering if my 2 year old would still have the option of sitting on the bench or if he would have to stand.
ReplyDeleteThis is a super stroller, in fact this is actually the stroller that most moms recommend!
ReplyDeleteDo you like the Joovy better than the Graco Stand and Ride LX??? We have a two year old and unborn. I wore my son ALL THE TIME in a moby wrap and only used the stroller sometimes. I'm expecting to wear the new baby often too. So I want my older child to be comfortable. I like that the joovy new has a detachable jump seat for the back child so he/she can be in an actual seat of he/she needs a nap, but the joovy doesn't have the option to put the baby in the back... I'm really torn. Money isn't really an object, if it is what I want and will do that work I need it to do ill buy it. Before we could out #2 was on the way I was close to purchasing a super nice BOB but they only seem to have side by side doubles. Not want I need. :(
