I can not believe that we're already almost at the end of July! I have a niece and nephew who live in California who start school mid August! It seems like summer vacation gets shorter for children every year!

I downloaded this app a few days ago and have been using it to take lots of pictures of Maggie while she does all kinds of her "at home" school work. For my two year old, that means arts and crafts, puzzles, and reading lots of books!

Not only would I encourage you to use this app to take pictures of your child on their first day of school, but all the big things leading up to the first day! Back to school shopping, laying out the first day of school outfit the night before, packing lunch--the possibilities and memories are endless!

After using this app to snap some cool pics, you'll want log on to the secure 1st Day website (the1stday.com), where images and albums are automatically synched up from the app! Then, you can create slideshows, add colorful borders and share galleries via email and on Facebook.

Not only is this app great for parents, it's also perfect for teachers! The app is an excellent way for teachers to journal milestones as they upload photos of their room, art projects and events throughout the year and share them with peers and parents.

Elmer's has always been committed to the community and the education of young people, so with the release of this App, they've partnered with the Kids In Need Foundation, which provides free school supplies to students in need. For every photo uploaded using this App, Elmer’s will donate one product (up to 200,000 uploads) to the Kids In Need Foundation!

The free 1st Day app can be downloaded on iPhone and Android mobile devices by scanning the QR code found on select Elmer’s glue bottles and in-store school supply displays or directly from the iTunes Store or Google Play.
