Safari Ltd. Animals Review and Giveaway

Maggie LOVES animals! We talk about different animals all the time and are planning on taking her to the zoo very soon. Recently she was sent some safari animals from Safari Ltd. for us to review.  She got an elephant, a tiger, a lion, and a giraffe.

Maggie was so excited when she pulled these out of the box! She started playing with them right away.

Maggie has a number of other animal figures but honestly, the quality of these animals is SO much better! You can easily tell by the way they look and feel that these replicas are made with high quality materials!

Here's Safari Ltd.'s story as told by Ramona and Alexandre M. Pariente:

It seems like only yesterday when my parents, after returning from a trip to Germany, showed me a children’s card game that would be the beginning of Safari Ltd®. Its theme was endangered species. The year was 1979.

A few years later in 1986, we signed the most important license agreement in the company’s history with the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. This license allowed us to produce authentic, scale-model dinosaur figures with the collaboration of their paleontologists.

25 years later, children, adult collectors and educators worldwide enjoy purchasing these unique replicas.

As a fascinating side-note, I discovered that some of the original painters in the factory are still painting some of the same Carnegie dinosaurs 25 years later.

These toys certainly have brought the "joy of play" out in Maggie! They are a great way to get her using her imagination! Lately we've been building zoos with cages out of blocks to put our animals in. Maggie loves it!

When we were sent our replicas, we were also sent a catalog showing all the replicas they offer. Let me tell you, they've got a LOT! That catalog has been one of Maggie's favorite books. She keeps it in bed with her and loves to look through it before she falls asleep at night.
