Tiny Love Gymini Move and Play Activity Mat Review and Giveaway

For the month of August, I've decided to feature baby play/activity mats on my blog!  My baby is about 11 weeks old now and really starting to enjoy activity mats, so I figured this would be a great time for some reviews! The first mat I'm going to tell you about is the Tiny Love Gymini Move and Play.  As you can see above, big sister was pretty excited to show her baby brother this new toy!

Here are the product details:

The Gymini® Move & Play is the first activity baby gym to feature a sliding arch connector, which brings the toys within reach of your baby. It's more versatile, more comfortable and better adjusted to developmental needs.
  • Revolutionary arch connector allows endless options for playtime
  • Sliding rings enable flexible toy positioning for a content baby
  • Extra large baby mat
  • Ideal for tummy time
  • Getting baby in and out is finally easy and hassle-free
What We Thought:

There are a LOT of great features to this activity mat that I can't wait to tell you about! First I will mention my favorite feature--the sliding arch connector. That thing is awesome and ingenious! It allow you to move the toys all over. (See pictures below--that is the easiest way I can show you!)
I especially love it for tummy time because you can move the toys down so that they are easier for the baby to see while on his or her tummy. Not only does the sliding arch connector move just about everywhere, it also lights up and plays  music when you put 3 AAA batteries into it! You can change the angle of the light up feature as well, so wherever you're baby is laying they can see it!
I also love the fact that this play mat is put together SO easily!! For one, the place where you connect the toys is designed to make it really easy to change them around:
You can also slide these hooks to change where the toys are located on each leg.
Second, the legs are attached to the mat with snaps. This makes it REALLY quick to break it apart when I need to throw the mat into the washing machine (which, with my babies, happens pretty frequently due to spit up and explosive diapers!) and then put it back together again.  There are also extra snaps on the sides that you can use to snap it up to make it sort of box-like, or unsnap them to maximize the mat size. I've noticed that Jacob really enjoys the sides snapped up because he looks at the colors/patterns on the sides!
The last thing I'd like to mention is the size of this mat. It is by far the largest play mat I have, especially with all of the snaps undone. Now, for some people with a small house/living space this could be a drawback for them. Again, you can snap up the sides which will make it take up a little less space. One of the nice things about having a larger play mat like this (besides the fact that it gives your baby more play room) is that if there are older siblings in the house, there is enough room for both an older sibling and baby on the play mat! Maggie loves to help with her brother Jacob, and this play mat givers her plenty of room to get down there with him, talk to him, and show him his toys. This would also be a great play mat for someone with twins!
I am very, very impressed with this play mat! There are a few problem areas I have seen in other mats, and this one solves them all! It is easy to assemble in all ways, easy for your baby to see the toys no matter where or how you lay them down, and easy to clean. I highly recommend this mat to anyone searching for a play mat!

  37. I would like to see a review done on the Gymini bouncer...It looks really nice and comfy too. Most of the other bounces stop working after a while so I would like to see one that actually lasts thru the baby stages. Thanks for the opportunity!
