Don't get sick! Top Places Where Germs Are Hiding!

It's that time of year when everyone starts to get sick. I made a list of things to avoid when you're in public places!

1. Grocery storeGermiest items: Shopping cart handles and seat buckets
"About 70%-80% of the shopping carts tested nationwide had E. coli, says Charles Gerba, Ph.D., a University of Arizona microbiologist who spends a lot of time studying germs in public places".

2. Children’s playgrounds
Germiest items:
The swings, jungle gym and other equipment Playgrounds are germ minefields. Kids touch everything they see and often put them in their mouths. Ewww

3. Public restrooms
Germiest item:
Sink & the floor. Never put your purse on the floor of a public bathroom...NEVER!! haha

4. Offices
Germiest items:
Telephones and desks. Wipe them down daily with a sanitizing wipe.

5. Restaurants
Germiest items:
Table surface, high chairs. Wipe them each down with a sanitizing wipe. There are different companies that do make smaller packets that are perfect for diaper bags/purses.

6. Malls
Germiest items: Handrails &  Escalator handles (Also elevator buttons). I don't know about you, but I try to never touch handrails and escalator handles. I just think they are so grimy and loaded with germs!

7. Gas Stations
Germiest items: Gas pump. Try to wear a glove or always use hand sanitizer after pumping gas into your vehicle.

Remember, always wash your hands and use hand sanitizer. I personally have little hand sanitizers in my purse, diaper bag, and in the console of our car. This is a year round thing, but especially now be extra careful!

  2. I agree. Wash your hands as much as possible. Germs spread so quickly, and we touch everything.
