*Kickin' It Off With Cloth* Project Pomona

Hi everyone!  It's Ruth from Viva Veltoro
here with day 21 of Kickin' It Off With Cloth!

"Where practicality collides with cuteness to create the perfect baby jeans!"

If you have a cloth diapered baby then you know that finding a pair of jeans to fit over that cute fluffy bum can be nearly impossible.  Even if you size up, they still don't fit well in the waist and hips and you're left with so much extra length.  Enter Project Pomona!

Project Pomona was started by Meghan, a mom that was disappointed when her baby girl's cloth diapered bum wouldn't fit into the average pair of baby pants.  She set out to design a pant that could be made out of denim, corduroy, or any other non-knit fabric that would be able to fit babies comfortably, while still being super cute.  Once she created the perfect pants, she realized they fit all sorts of shapes and sizes and ALL diaper types.  So, whether your baby is in cloth or disposables, these pants will fit him or her perfectly.  The adjustable waist, roomy hip area, and extra length designed into a fashionable turned up accent cuff mean that these pants will fit your baby for several months.  No more having to size up every few months!  And, Project Pomona jeans are MADE IN THE USA!

Project Pomona jeans come in 4 standard sizes but custom options are also available.  These jeans are made to order, so if you have a special need all you have to do is ask.

New to their line-up is the Slim size.  These jeans work well for cloth diapered babies that are below average in weight, or for children who exclusively use disposables.

Our little guy is currently 6.5 months, 18.5 pounds, 27.75 inches tall and wearing 9-12 month old sizes in standard clothing.  After measuring his inseam and discussing it with Meghan, we thought the Size Two Slims would be the best option since he's pretty tall but not too chunky.

I received this adorable pair of Organic Blue Size Two Slims to review.

These premium denim jeans are made of 100% medium weight cotton.  The fun accent cuff is made with 100% Organic (GOTS certified) cotton.

Project Pomona pants features an innovative Simple Snap waist system which lets you customize the fit on your baby.  Each side has four snap options so you can really get a great fit on your little one.  These snaps also make diaper changes a breeze!

When you pair the Simple Snap waist system with the extra inseam afforded by the accent cuff, you get a pair of jeans that are really going to last while you're baby gets taller.  In the photo below you can see that there's an extra 3.5 inches of length built into the cuff.

For our pair of Size Two Slims, we have the option to go from an 8 inch inseam (by rolling the jeans twice at the bottom - it's fully cuffed just for the picture) to an 11 inch inseam!  According to Project Pomona, there's roughly three pant sizes in each pair and I believe it!

Want to see just how perfectly these jeans fit over a fluffy bum?

These jeans fit our little guy like a dream!  The low rise in front allows ample room for his baby buddha belly.  The higher rise in back allows plenty of room for a cloth diaper.  In these photos, my baby is wearing a bumGenius Freetime.  This is definitely not our trimmest diaper and you can see just how great these jeans fit!  They're roomy enough while still being trim!

I think my little model was happy with them.
Overall, I love these Project Pomona jeans and I think you will too!  Your little one will be comfortable and stylish, and you'll save money in the long run over buying a new pair of jeans every couple of months!  Whether your baby is using cloth diapers or disposables, Project Pomona jeans will provide a perfect fit.
