*Kickin It Off With Cloth* Tajo's Tushy's Pocket Diaper

I've had the pleasure of working with Michelle of My Tajo's before and she is absolutely amazing.

She is a WAHM of 3 who homeschools her 2 oldest children.  Her latest addition, Taj is the inspiration behind My Tajo's.  Michelle created Tajo's Tushy's diapers after trying many different styles and brands of diapers on her son.  Nothing quite lived up to her expectations, so she took it upon herself to create the perfect diaper!  My Tajo's carries an assortment of cloth diapers & accessories, clothing and slings - all prepared in Michelle's home.

After reviewing the Lil' Leg Warmers from My Tajo's, I was excited about the opportunity to review one of Michelle's pocket diapers.  Michelle sent me a Tajo's Tushy Pocket diaper in Rain for review.  The color is a beautiful pale, baby blue.  I love the contrasting black snaps.

The Tajo's Tushy's pocket diaper is a one-size diaper designed to fit babies from 8 to 35+ pounds, or birth to potty learning.  The majority of my diapers are one-size because I love that you get a lot of bang for your buck.

There are 3 rows of rise settings so that you'll be able to get a perfect fit on your little one.  There are crossover waist snaps so this diaper will fit even bitty babies.  You can see in the photos below that when snapped down to the smallest settings that the leg openings get tiny and would probably even fit newborn "chicken legs".

The insert included with the Tajo's Tushy's diaper is double sided and made up of three layers.  One side is organic bamboo jersey, the other side is organic bamboo fleece, with a middle layer of organic bamboo as well. The awesome thing about this insert is that you can choose to stuff it in the pocket OR lay it on top of the pocket.  You decide whether you'd prefer to use this as a pocket or as a hybrid.  And, you can decide whether to put it jersey side or fleece side up.  The insert is 30 inches long unprepped; once prepped it shrunk down to 27.5 inches.  It's one long, continuous insert that you can fold to customize the absorbency where you need it.

The lining of the diaper is ultra soft microfleece to give the baby a nice stay dry effect if you choose to stuff the insert in the pocket. The pocket is located in the front of this diaper and is perfect in terms of width.  I have absolutely no problem stuffing this diaper - the PUL is nice and smooth and the pocket is wide enough to get your hand in and out of easily.

I was able to get a great fit on my little guy.  I love a diaper with hip snaps!  The leg elastic was gentle enough to not leave deep red marks on my little guy's thighs.

Overall, I really like my Tajo's Tushy's one-size pocket diaper!  I love the natural fibers used for the inesrt and I found it to be very absorbent.  The drying time is a little longer but that certainly isn't a deal-breaker for me.  The pocket is very easy to stuff and I love that you can use this diaper as a hybrid by simply laying the insert in the shell or as a pocket by stuffing the insert into the pocket channel.
