Plunder--An Awesome Pirate Game!

My oldest son who is almost 5 LOVES to sit down and play on our iPad; he thinks it's pretty much the coolest things since fruit snacks. He also LOVES Pirates! He and his younger brother are going around saying "argh" to each other, all the time! We even turned his bunk bed into a makeshift pirate ship not too long ago, so when I was asked to review the new online game from Big Fish called Plunder I knew that my oldest little guy would love it! However...I didn't know just quite how much he would love it.

Join 6 pirate Captains on their search for booty. Explode mines to sink enemy ships and collect their valuable treasures. But beware, a menacing monster lurks in the treacherous seas ahead.
It’s up to you to join forces with your new pirate allies to save everyone’s favorite plucky parrot, Cap’n Mac Macaw! Are ye ready to set sail for an explosive adventure on the high seas?
Key Features:
    • 7 seas full of adventure!
    • 91 mystical treasures to collect!
    • Collect power ups to take your game to the next level!
    • Upgrade your fleet to escape the clutches of the Royal Navy!
    • Duel on the high seas with your pirate pals with iPad exclusive multiplayer!

My big guy is your typical pre-school age boy, he is rough and rowdy and doesn't like to sit still for too long. So even though he loves the iPad he typically doesn't stick with one game for much longer than 10-20 minutes.

When I uploaded Plunder for him to try out the younger two kids were napping so it was this momma's time to get a shower! I handed my big guy the iPad and asked him to try out the new game while I started getting ready. To my surprise, he was still playing Plunder when I hopped out of the shower....and still when I was completely ready about an hour later! So I climbed on the bed beside him and asked him to show me what your supposed to do in the game. He excitedly began telling me: "you have a Pirate ship, and you need to get across the sea to get treasure...but you have buddies and they might get captured!" He continued to play and explain the game to me with a thrill that only a little boy can have, it was so cute and fun.

Plunder really is a fun game to sit and play , I have sat on my own for a few minutes to play it and amazingly my 4 yr old is much better at it than I am....my ship was captured within seconds, I even surrendered once. I guess I need some lessons from my big guy on Pirating!

There is a free version of Plunder, or you can buy the full version for just $2.99! If you have a little one who is into all things Pirates, this really is a fun game for them to try...or maybe you will even challenge yourself a bit with this fun game!
