Today we're Strolling into Spring with the Moby Wrap!

Now, you might be thinking, "wait, a wrap?! That's not a stroller!" Very true, but my son is almost 10 months old and he still MUCH prefers to go on our strolls in a baby carrier, close to mommy. If you have a young child who loves to be held, you'll want to have a good wrap to stroll into Spring this year!

I was first introduced to the Moby wrap when my daughter Maggie was about 4 months old (she is now almost 3 years old) and I bought a wrap when she was about 6 months old. We used that wrap quite a bit with her, but I was really eager to use a wrap with a newborn. I finally got my chance to use my Moby Wrap with a newborn when my son, Jacob, was born in May.

I remember back to when Jacob was just a few weeks okay. Probably around the 3 week mark he started with his colic. I remember one night in particular that he was inconsolable. I could not get him to stop crying, and I felt horrible. A mother is supposed to be able to comfort her baby, right? I walked him, rocked him, but nothing would settle him down. Finally, in desperation, I pulled my Moby Wrap out of the closet and put him in it. Not more than 2 minutes after getting Jacob snuggled into the wrap he had quieted down, and within 5 minutes he was sound asleep. So began my love obsession with my Moby Wrap. I took it EVERYWHERE I went. It seemed to never fail, when Jacob was fussy, I would wrap him up and he was almost instantly calmed. My husband, who always said using the wrap looked complicated came to me and said that he needed to learn how to use the Moby as well....and that's where HIS love obsession with the Moby Wrap started. Jacob had colic for probably close to 5 months and the Moby Wrap was a lifesaver. I recommend a Moby Wrap to every new parent I know, but especially for anyone dealing with colic!

I did everything with Jacob wrapped up in his Moby--yes, even blog reviews. Some of you may have noticed him wrapped up in my Moby Wrap when I made a video review shortly after he was born. He was screaming right before we started filming, so I wrapped him up and he was happy as can be!

 Jacob had many pictures taken of him peeking out from behind our Moby Wrap. Unfortunately, I lost all of them during the great "laptop crash of 2012." Yes, I now backup ALL pictures!

Well, recently I was on the Moby Wrap website and realized that they had released some new colors and prints for their wraps. When I saw this one, I knew I had to have it--for obvious reasons!

Have you ever used a Moby Wrap? If not you, you might look at these pictures and think that it would be complicated to get your child into it. Let me assure you, it is not! Moby provides you with a full color instructional booklet that explains how to wrap your baby/child in a number of different holds and also mentions which holds are appropriate for specific ages.

I can't tell you enough how much I highly recommend a Moby! I think that every new parent should own a Moby Wrap! Now that I have 2 wraps, I'll be loaning my spare out to friends with newborns! We love our Moby Wrap are are forever grateful for how helpful it was in comforting Jacob during those hard months! I still use my Moby Wrap a lot and yes, Jacob still loves to be in it as well!
